Camden Council to let Athlone House be demolished?
How much truth is there in the rumour that the Athlone House building, overlooking Hampstead, is to be demolished?
A leaflet from the Highgate Society, explained: "Athlone House, also known as Caen Wood Towers, one of the most chrished landmarks overlooking Hampstead Heath, will be demolished if Camden Council approves a planning application recently lodged with them by developers."
